Christine Troshynski, owner and operator of 3 Points Farm, grew up in O'Neill, Nebraska, and went off to college at University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL) where she graduated with a degree in Computer Science — nothing to do with farming.
She moved to Chicago where she worked as a tech consultant for several years, all the while becoming more interested with food and health. She started focusing on eating and training for sprint triathlons.
The Slow Food Movement and the small farm culture took her to Boulder, Colorado, where she developed an amazing network and learned more about creative farming practices. She is now living in Emmet where she works on the acre she has there, as well as an acre she has 4 miles north of Emmet on her family's homeplace. While she keeps an off-farm job, she continues working on her vegetables and greens that will be sold to the local communities. And don't forget about her hops! She's expanding her hop beds and working on getting drying down to an art (and a science)!
